Pigeons

Feral pigeons are a common site around town centres. What is less known is just how much of a persistent pest they can be around older and badly proofed buildings. They also will often be found around farm buildings in rural locations and are very widespread. Pigeons produce large amounts of dropping (guano) which they nest in. This guano can cause problems with gutters which leads to damp and erosions of stonework. Pigeons carry many diseases and may pose public health risks. Without bird control and proofing systems, their numbers will steadily grow.
